Abhishek, who turns 31 on 05-Feb-2007,  proposed to Aishwarya, 33, in New York when they had gone for the premier of Guru.

They exchanged engagement rings in a small ceremony that took place on Sunday 14-Jan-2007 between 8.30 p.m. and 9 p.m., hours after Aishwarya and Abhishek returned here from New York

Abhishek & Aishwarya are both manglik.

Rumors about marriage were sparked when the stars visited a Hindu Sankat Mochan temple in November.

Abhishek Bachchan has long ago adopted former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen as his sister. This happened during the shooting of Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai.
